Network & Wi-Fi Support in Northern Virginia
Help with weak coverage, dropped connections, router setup, and home or small-office networks.
Get your computers and everyday work connected with help from a team based in Burke. TechMedX helps Northern Virginia households and small businesses assess Wi-Fi and network problems, plan suitable equipment changes, and troubleshoot the devices that depend on the connection. Ask about a one-time issue or ongoing home and business support.
Start with the symptoms
Where Is the Connection Letting You Down?
Weak Wi-Fi & Dead Spots
Is the upstairs office unreliable while the room near the router works well? We assess the layout, equipment placement, and affected devices before discussing coverage changes. The right approach depends on the building, existing wiring, and how you use the network.
Dropped Connections & Slow Wi-Fi
A meeting that keeps disconnecting or a computer that regularly loses Wi-Fi needs troubleshooting. We compare symptoms across devices and locations to help distinguish a device problem, a local network issue, or something to discuss with your internet provider.
Router, Mesh & Access-Point Setup
Get help selecting and setting up suitable networking equipment. Depending on your layout and existing connections, we can discuss router placement, mesh Wi-Fi, access points, and wired options. We assess what is needed before recommending a purchase.
Home Office & Connected Printers
We troubleshoot connections between computers, docks, network printers, and other everyday office devices. If only one computer or printer is affected, we can check its connection and configuration rather than assuming the whole network needs replacement.
Small-Business Networks
Ask about workstations, shared resources, network equipment, and a suitable guest-network setup. We discuss your current IT provider, access permissions, and business requirements before changes. Business support plans can provide a regular source of help for your team.
Network Settings & Ongoing Care
We can help review router settings, supported firmware updates, and access arrangements appropriate to your setup. Changes depend on the equipment and who manages it. We explain relevant settings and support options so you know what to maintain going forward.
A useful distinction
Wi-Fi Coverage and Internet Service Are Different.
Wi-Fi connects your devices to the local network; your internet provider supplies the connection beyond it. A strong Wi-Fi signal does not establish that the internet service is working well. An outage or provider-side problem may need the provider’s help.
We can help narrow down where the problem appears to be and explain the findings. Equipment changes cannot guarantee a particular speed or correct every provider or building-network issue. If your landlord, employer, or building manages the network, tell us before booking.
From diagnosis to a practical setup
How Network Service Works.
- 1. Tell Us Where It Happens
Share which rooms and devices are affected, whether the issue is constant or intermittent, and whether anything changed recently.
- 2. Assess the Existing Network
We review the suitable troubleshooting options, equipment, placement, and relevant connections. We discuss service charges and any proposed hardware before approved work.
- 3. Review the Changes Together
After agreed work, we check the affected connections and explain the setup, ownership of settings, and useful next steps for ongoing support.
Care between problems
Choose One-Time Help or Ongoing Support.
Home Support Plans
Keep routine computer care on a plan, with protection, update management, and technical support options. Higher tiers add benefits such as backups and included support time. Compare the current device coverage, allowances, and service terms.
Business IT Support Plans
Give your small business a regular source of help for workstations, email, printers, and networks. Business plans list workstation management separately from labor options. We will discuss your devices, existing IT arrangements, and support needs.
You can also ask for help with a one-time issue. A plan does not mean every repair, part, or cleanup is included; we will discuss the applicable scope and charges.

Before your appointment
Help Us Understand Your Setup.
Tell us your internet provider, router or mesh brand, the rooms with problems, and whether one device or several are affected. Note when problems happen and whether a wired connection works where available. Mention any equipment supplied or managed by a landlord, building, employer, or other IT provider.
Have an authorized person available to access relevant equipment settings during service. We will discuss access when arranging the work. Many coverage and physical-network problems need an on-site visit; remote help requires a working connection.
Common questions
Network & Wi-Fi Questions.
Should I buy a mesh system first?
Describe the problem before buying new equipment. Layout, existing wiring, placement, and the devices involved affect which options make sense. We can assess whether settings, relocation, additional equipment, or another approach is suitable.
Can you help with Wi-Fi in a larger or multi-story home?
Yes. We assess the areas that need coverage and discuss options appropriate to the layout and existing wiring. Building materials, placement, interference, and the devices involved can affect results.
Can you fix an internet-provider outage?
We can help distinguish some local-network problems from issues that need your internet provider. Restoring provider service or changing provider-owned infrastructure is the provider’s responsibility.
Can you troubleshoot a condo or office-building network?
We can investigate problems with your devices and discuss the network you are authorized to manage. Changes to shared or provider-managed equipment may require the building manager or network provider.
Do you install new cable runs?
Tell us about existing Ethernet connections and any proposed cable runs when booking. We will confirm the scope and whether a separate cabling contractor is needed before work is arranged.
Does a support plan include a new router or all network work?
No. Equipment, installation, and labor coverage depend on the plan and agreed service scope. We will discuss applicable charges and any included support allowance before approved work.
What if just one computer has trouble connecting?
The issue may involve that computer’s configuration, software, or hardware rather than overall coverage. We can assess the device and discuss computer repair where appropriate.
